Strategy & Business is up with its best books of 2008 list.

The mag breaks down their list into several categories. Of most interest to IT folks are their picks in innovation, management and strategy (registration required).

We're working on our list of the best business books of 2008 (check back in early 2009), but we're seeing some similiaries with S&B's list. One groundbreaking work that made waves this year was Groundswell: Winning in a World Transformed by Social Technologies, by Forrester analysts Josh Bernoff and Charlene Li.

S&B also picked a few from late 2008, including Redefining Global Strategy: Crossing Borders in a World Where Differences Still Matter, by Pankaj Ghemawat, and Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything, by Don Tapscott and Anthony D. Williams. (Click here for a past interview with Tapscott; for a recent discussion with Williams, click here.)

What's your take on the best business/technology books of 2008? We'd like to hear your thoughts before we put out our list.
