Payrolls may have slackened for most American businesses last month, but not for IT services. |
Nonfarm payrolls rose 1.4 percent from July 2006 to July 2007, according to a report issued by the Bureau of Labor Statistics Friday. That report also showed that employment at IT services firms increased by 1.1 percent. But the figure for firms officially categorized as computer systems design and related services represents a one-month increase. For the previous 12 months, payrolls at IT services firms rose by nearly 5.5 percent.
Once again, IT is leading the economy in whatever job growth taking place.
