The much-anticipated launch of search engine Cuil (pronounced "cool") shows at the very least that it's tough to go live with a huge project without experiencing a few glitches.

Like some other folks, I was unimpressed with the results when I ego-surfed my own name.

But the result below is truly not great. I got the same result when I typed in "Mary Louise Parker," which from a business-model perspective may be even worse for the new service. UPDATE: Later searches for these names did produce relevant results.
