Opening keynote is by Diane Offereins of Discover. Topic: "Well, Do We Matter?" Nick Carr five years on. I'll try to post her slides later. Short answer: yes, IT still matters. But there are commoditized areas where it just has to work, and other places where it's not at the commodity level yet, and certain industries where this is especially true. Looking back five years, we've been able to add a lot of capabilities that helped the business grow. |
