Going mobile


Tech companies seem to mate indiscriminately, but Nokia's acquisition of location-awareness network Plazes is part of a trend CIOs should be following. Real mobile computing is upon us, this is more infill from the provider side.

Meanwhile, Google's Android -- a potential savior from the evil of iPhone lockin -- hits a delay: "Google now says that the handsets won't arrive until the fourth quarter. And some cellular carriers and makers of programs that work with Android are struggling to meet that schedule."
