Dell's Cloudy Trademark Move

So Dell wants to trademark the term "cloud computing."

This makes about as much as sense as Donald Trump trying to trademark "you're fired."

The cloud metaphor has been in use for years. Dell is not one of the companies associated with it.

On the other hand, as one commenter at Slashdot says, "if it means nobody else will be able to say 'cloud computing' anymore I am all for it. Now it someone would have been able to trademark Web 2.0 life would be good."
