Readers Talk Back on Windows 7, Twitter
|
Tony Kontzer joined the geek snarkfest around Microsoft's marketing of Windows 7, but readers say that the product itself is what matters. JohnJ writes, "The Windows 7 Party Video is irrelevant. Geeks enjoy making fun of it, but the general public will never see it...[I] anticipate that Windows 7 will be a very good product." Hank says, "I've had it for 7 weeks. I like it." On the other hand, Onion Head predicts that PCs will go the way of the dinosaur: "My guess is many will opt for the iPhone or such and the Personal Computer (ie desktop/notebook) will disappear in 5 years." Elsewhere, Twitter user @danielkennedy74, who was quoted in one of Tony's Twitter-as-zeitgeist posts, says, "It is scary to have your tweets quoted in a regular news publication." Don't be scared, that's just the way we journalism now. |
