Cash for trash

Much of the emphasis to date has been on saving money by using less energy. It's a pretty straightforward equation. Less obvious have been the financial benefits of other green tropes, such as recycling. The environmental benefits have been clear from the start, as has the need for regulatory compliance, but the payoffs have been fuzzier. Interesting then to see Lenovo look to refurbishing and recycling old computers as a way of making money. More from the company site. |

In 3rd paragraph, is the word "tropes" used correctly? Seems wrong and obscure to me. Hank

God bless the careful reader. It's obscure to be sure, but I think the definition stretches to include embellishments on a theme, and "green" itself is a figure of speech.
