McCain and JDate: Targeted Ads Online
The web allows advertisers to target audiences with more precision than ever before, so it's interesting to work back from the appearance of an ad to deduce the intentions of the folks who placed it.
Take the English-language websigte of Haaretz, the left-of-center Israeli daily, which has to count a lot of American Jews among its readers.
Who's trying to reach that demographic?
JDate, "The Leading Jewish Singles Network."
Various travel services.
And...the John McCain presidential campaign.
It makes sense, as McCain courts the Jewish vote.
