In Which I Fail to Avoid Writing About the iPhone

I was trying to make it through the day without mentioning the iPhone, but a few items jumped out at me through the swirling ticker-tape -- things that are relevant to corporate IT.

As Clint Boulton says, "the variety of things you can do on an iPhone is increasingly coming to approximate what you can do on your laptop or desktop." Whether or not you choose Apple as an enterprise vendor, the future of mobile computing is a big story.

This seems healthy to bear in mind: "Apple's PR miasma is also starting to twist the thinking of people in the tech industry who ought to know better."

And this is just impressive: "Apple today announced that iPhone and iPod touch users have already downloaded more than 10 million applications from its groundbreaking new App Store since its launch late last week."
